The location was beautiful, next to the museums, the delightful outskirts and good local restaurants. Responsive staff suggested restaurants. The room was cosy and what's more - included shower facilities and fresh towels.

we had a truly memorable time. cozy room and the bed was comfy. the staff were helpful the whole time of our stay. the location was great and beautiful, close enough to the delightful outskirts and the amstel river and easily accessible. it also was right in the city centre.

The location here is fantastic, within easy walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit, and only a 10-minute walk to Wibautstraat metro station.

We had a studio suite with central heating, a seating area, and an electric kettle. The management was responsive and helpful, as well as the staff.

The studio at Houseboat Ark Van Amstel is cozy and comfortable, with a warm and inviting seating area that has a beautiful parquet floor. It feels like a home away from home, perfect for someone like me who wants a relaxed and casual atmosphere during their stay.

Personally, I found the shower in the bathroom a bit small. But hey, that's just my opinion – others might not mind it at all!

Functional accommodations with a wide view over the Amstel River. The room was so well-equipped, it felt like I was staying in a high-tech spaceship! I could even control the lights and temperature with a touch of a button. The view of the Amstel River was like a moving masterpiece, constantly changing and mesmerizing.

Unclean and poor service.

We had a cosy bedroom. the staff were responsive, ready to any request. - It was in a great location just off the delightful outskirts of the city centre. - An ethnographic museum was just 1 km away.

We had a fantastic time staying at this unique houseboat for a week. The floating terrace was amazing, with wraparound sliding windows that provided beautiful views of the Amstel River. The cozy bedroom downstairs was extremely comfortable, and we loved relaxing upstairs and watching the boats sail by. The kitchen and decor were both beautiful, and the host, Masha, was very accommodating and responsive. We highly recommend this houseboat for a memorable and special experience.

We absolutely loved the unique experience of staying on a houseboat. the view of the Amstel River was amazing and the location was very convenient with easy access to public transport. the owners were very proactive in informing us about any potential drawbacks, like steep steps, so there were no surprises upon arrival. They regularly checked in to see if we needed anything and provided local tips for dining and sightseeing. the additional electrical heaters made our evenings warm and cosy, which was a great touch.

Amazing view from the living room, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The location was also ideal, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to explore. the owner was friendly, informative, and relaxed, which added to the overall laid-back atmosphere.

Nothing that I didn't like.

Great value for money, the room was beautiful and had an amazing view of the canal. The location was perfect, with plenty of great restaurants nearby and easy access to public transport. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast delights could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The view from my living room was absolutely breathtaking. I could sit there for hours, watching the boats sail past and enjoying the peacefulness of the surroundings. The location of the accommodation was also fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and the city center within walking distance. It was the perfect combination of convenience and tranquility.

Although I had a wonderful stay overall, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The apartment was a bit dusty and some of the cutlery was not properly cleaned.
